Asiatyrannus xui was a tyrannosaurid dinosaur that hunted in what is now southern China between 67 and 66 million years ago, during the Late Cretaceous Period. Although the skeletal specimen recovered for this species was relatively small, with a body length running between 11 and 13 feet, the specimen also shows signs of incomplete growth that suggest that the animal might have been significantly larger as an adult. It is also the most southerly-occurring tyrannosaurid known from East Asia.
