This is a commissioned depiction of Kentriodon, a genus of dolphin that swam the oceans between the late Oligocene and early Miocene epochs of the Cenozoic era. As far as I could tell from the reference images I was able to find, these animals probably didn’t look that different from modern dolphins, so to make it look more interesting than just a generic gray dolphin, I made my version black with some striking yellow and orange markings.
