I did this drawing of Taharqa, the most famous of the Kushite kings, as celebration for Black History Month in 2019. Unlike most of my digital art, however, I skipped the inking stage and instead painted the colors right under the original pencil art. Normally I prefer the bold cleanness of digitally inked lines to the messy ones left by graphite pencils, but I think this one came out nicely nonetheless.
