The fourth dinosaur to be redesigned for this series is the Stegosaurus, which appeared in both the first and second games. The spiky “thagomizer” at the tip of its tail notwithstanding, Stegosaurus in the Carnivores universe was little more than a gentle giant, making it a rather easy target for the novice hunter. It is also remarkable for how massive some individual specimens could get, weighing up to fourteen tons. This made Stegosaurus the heaviest dinosaur the player could hunt in both games, outclassing even the Tyrannosaurus.
