As you might expect from almost any video game franchise in the 1990s, the Velociraptor of the Carnivores universe took much more from Jurassic Park than actual paleontology. Available to more experienced hunters in the first two games of the trilogy, the Velociraptor was of course over-sized and scaly rather than feathered, but it wasn’t a pack-hunter since none of the animals in the games had any social behavior programmed into their AI. It was still swift and aggressive enough to be dangerous game, and one level in the first game even featured an ancient native temple dedicated to its veneration!
