This is a commission I did for a gentleman who needed a visual illustration for a music video he was making. He wanted me to draw an African queen listening to music on her smartphone while reading some texts, so I chose the Egyptian Queen Nefertiti as the subject (even though, yes, there were no smartphones back in ancient Egypt; the commissioner told me he wanted me to mix ancient and modern themes in the scene).
I wonder what kind of music she would be listening to?
