This would be my reinterpretation of the ancient Egyptian goddess as she was portrayed in the concept art for the real-time strategy game Age of Mythology (a mythology-themed spinoff of the Age of Empires series), which was one of my favorite games to play as a teenager. Unfortunately, the game’s original depiction of her was ridiculously pale for a goddess of an ancient Northeast African people, so I naturally sought to rectify that.
This is actually not the first time I’ve tried to reinterpret the game’s depiction of the goddess, but my previous efforts have not aged that well in my opinion and I wanted to take another stab at it with my improved artistic skills.
