This is Hathor, the ancient Egyptian goddess of love, joy, and fertility, who is perhaps best known for her bovine motif. I admit that cattle aren’t animals I would consider sexy enough to associate with a goddess of love, but it goes to show that the themes we associate with certain animals vary from culture to culture.
It should be noted that Sekhmet, the lioness-headed goddess of war and violence, was in some interpretations one of Hathor’s alternate forms.
