Nadjela of Batela, my Central African warrior princess character, is riding through the jungle on her okapi steed while her loyal leopard companion Ishaga prowls beside her. I might have made the okapi a bit too big here (they are roughly horse-sized in real life), but I’ll just say that Nadjela’s people have bred them to a larger size the way horses have grown bigger and sturdier due to breeding since they were first domesticated during the Bronze Age.
