This is a sketchbook portrait of Allosaurus anax, a Late Jurassic meat-eating dinosaur which was one of the largest known species of the Allosaurus genus. Although its remains so far have been fragmentary, A. anax is estimated to have reached a body length of 36 feet and a mass approaching five tons.
