Tanit was a goddess of fertility, the moon, and the heavens in the religion of the ancient Carthaginians. Sources seem to disagree on whether she evolved from the Semitic goddess Astarte and was brought to Carthage by Phoenician colonists, or whether instead Tanit was a native African divinity whom the Carthaginians adopted into their pantheon. As you can see, I went with the latter interpretation in my depiction.
