Kiffian and Tenerian Man

These two dudes represent a couple of Neolithic cultures that inhabited the Saharan region of Niger in West Africa between 8000 and 2500 BC, with their remains being found at the site of Gobero. The Kiffians were the earlier of the two cultures and are noted for having had taller and more robust skeletal anatomy than their Tenerian successors. Whereas the Kiffians would have subsisted off hunting and fishing at a now-desiccated lake in the area, the Tenerians would have herded livestock such as cattle.
